What are the positive environmental impacts
of your product (what makes it “green”)?
We use SFI and FSC certified wood materials
such as our Maple plywood box interior used at the Suncadia
project house; we also use Alder lumber to make our wood drawer
boxes; most of our Cherry wood is FSC certified. What
makes your product a healthy/healthier option for the home
(does it have lower - or no - impacts on human health compared
to similar, traditionally manufactured products?)
Our Sherwin Williams conversion varnish
top coat finish applied to wood doors has no hazardous air
pollutants (HAPs), or formaldehyde. Our Maple plywood box
interior option uses no added formaldehyde adhesives.
What are the financial benefits of using your product (does
it save the homeowner money when compared to a similar, more
traditionally manufactured product?)
Specifying green materials is typically
more expensive than standard materials in the cabinetry industry.
Pacific Crest Cabinets however has long standing relationships
with raw material suppliers allowing for competitive pricing
on SFI and FSC lumber. This saving is passed on to the consumer.
How does your product contribute to a higher quality of life
versus other products, and if so, why? (For example, is it
a better quality of heat? Is it easier to maintain?)
We provide a high quality product built
to exact standards utilizing the latest in wood cabinet manufacturing
technology and materials. The product sells for less than
many custom cabinet lines, however provides equally long-lasting
construction and durability. Competitive price, long lasting,
high quality, low maintenance = beautiful worry-free cabinetry
in the home environment.
