What are the positive environmental impacts of your product (what makes it “green”)?

As a Home Builder, CMI Homes analyzes the home prior to construction to identify all components which will make it a better built home. Products and construction techniques add positively to the homes ability to:
a) withstand all local climate conditions
b) use quality labor and materials to insure that the structure will stand the test of time
c) provide better indoor air quality and comfort
d) provide efficient use of energy
e) have less impact on the environment (i.e. use of recycled or recyclable products, rapidly renewable products, and locally produced products and services)

What makes your product a healthy/healthier option for the home (does it have lower - or no - impacts on human health compared to similar, traditionally manufactured products?)

As a builder, CMI Homes is on the cutting edge of specifying systems and methods which are used to provide healthier and cleaner indoor air quality.
a) The use of low formaldehyde, low v.o.c. and other products with reduced off-gassing of chemicals.
b) Better designed heating and air cleaning systems for filtering the air and removing indoor air contaminants.
c) Construction practices which keep contaminants off-site including off-site clean up for certain trades.
d) Techniques and products that limit water and moisture intrusion and practices which limit the risk of mold growth in a home.

What are the financial benefits of using your product (does it save the homeowner money when compared to a similar, more traditionally manufactured product?)

A CMI home is more economical to operate. Being of a higher construction level with efficient systems- the home will look and function better for longer period of time which will substantially increase the market value of your investment. In addition, surveys have shown that the consumer is willing to pay more for a home which has been designed and built with quality “Built Green” features.

How does your product contribute to a higher quality of life versus other products, and if so, why?
(For example, is it a better quality of heat? Is it easier to maintain? Does it provide a greater aesthetic value?)

There is no question that a CMI home has a higher aesthetic value. People often say, “I don’t know what it is about this home but it just looks like quality.” We install a number of comfort and convenience features which are not necessary however make the home more enjoyable to live in. Some of the features that are common in a CMI home are: quieter walls, quieter equipment, quieter plumbing and house systems, heating and cooling systems which are energy efficient and provide more comfort than conventional systems, radiant floor heating, on demand hot water, lighting control systems, low maintenance exterior materials and finishes and systems requiring less maintenance. A CMI Home can provide just about every conceivable luxury component a client desires.
